Bridgeport emergency responders stepped into action after police say a man was robbed of his Thanksgiving turkey, trimmings and wallet while walking to a friends house on Turkey Day.
“At first I thought he was joking, but I could hear from his voice that he was serious,” said Telecommunications Operator Denny Viera, who took the 911 call.
That’s when Viera ordered two meals from Boston Market with her co-workers chipping in to pay for the food. Officer Daniel Mendez, who responded to the call, delivered the meals to the victim and his friend.
“When he gave them the meals, Danny said they were the happiest guys on earth,” Viera said.
