State Police Probe Armed Robbery

State Police are investigating an armed, lunch time robbery Tuesday at a Subway sandwich shop in the town of Marlborough.

Just before 12:30 p.m., troopers report a lone white male brandishing a knife made his way into the shop through a rear entrance.

A cashier and store manager were manning the cash register when the suspect entered behind them.

A struggle ensued between the manager and the suspect, who fled on foot to a vehicle outside.

No one was hurt and police say the suspect made off with about $60.

The man wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and red bandana to partially cover his face.

The suspect vehicle is an older model 4-door gold colored sedan with a partial license plate of EL942 or IE942.

The knife was recovered.  Anyone with any information is asked to call State Police at (860) 465-5456.
