Bridgeport Police Make Arrest In Homicide Case

Police in Bridgeport have made an arrest in connection with a homicide that occurred this past weekend.

Under arrest for the shooting death of Karlhenry Gay is 27-year-old Luis Rivera.

Gay was fatally shot outside the Mainport Fish and Chips restaurant on North Avenue just before three a.m. on Sunday.

Investigators say the victim was at a location in Hamden before coming to Bridgeport prior to being shot.

Detectives say Gay was involved in an earlier altercation that night which then flared up outside the eatery.

As for Rivera, police are holding him on a $1 million bond.

He’s charged with murder and criminal possession of a firearm by a felon.
