CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) – The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence is honoring 100 men for raising awareness about domestic violence and helping victims.
The third-annual breakfast honoring and recognizing 100 male leaders throughout the state will be held Tuesday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, Attorney General Jepsen and state Comptroller Kevin Lembo are scheduled to be on hand.
The coalition also is planning to launch a new, statewide speakers bureau of male leaders who will be available to educate men and boys about healthy relationships.
Gary Lapidus, director of the Injury Prevention Center at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center/Hartford Hospital, will be honored with the special Coalition Crusader Award.
