There is no shortage of ceremonies and observances planned across Connecticut this Veterans Day weekend.
Stamford’s annual Veterans Day parade begins Sunday at noon at Hoyt and Summer Streets, winding up at Veterans Park on Atlantic Street.
The state Veterans Day parade was held last weekend in Hartford.
Windsor, East Lyme, Trumbull and Greenwich also have events.
And on Monday, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will lead a ceremony at Wethersfield Town Hall while another takes place at the Iwo Jima memorial in New Britain.
The holiday this year has added meaning, this being the 60th anniversary of the end of the Korean War.
