Highway Accidents Cause Headaches

It was a busy morning for Connecticut state police today.

Troopers responded to separate accidents along Interstate 84 in the Hartford area, Route 72 in New Britain and in Beacon Falls on Route 42.

Lieutenant Paul Vance is advising motorists to slow down as roads can get slippery this time of year with wet conditions and fallen leaves.

He says there were no serious injuries in this morning’s crashes.

Vance also says roads may have a tendency to slicken up even with a light rain because it’s been so dry over the last several weeks, making for a tricky mix with oil and other residue on the highways.
