Woman Who Survived 11-Story Fall Dies At Hospital

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Authorities say a woman has died after falling 11 stories from her balcony at a Connecticut condominium building.

Officers and paramedics were called to the building in Stamford on Tuesday evening after the 42-year-old woman fell from her balcony.

Police are investigating whether the fall was an accident, a suicide attempt or something else. The woman’s name hasn’t been released.

Building security guard Jelanee Allen told The Advocate of Stamford  that he heard the woman scream and it sounded like she fell by accident. He said the woman was conscious and responding to people talking to her after she fell.

Officials say she was brought to Stamford Hospital, where she later died.

Stamford is about 35 miles northeast of New York City.
