Woman Survives Fall From Stamford Condominium Building

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) – Stamford police say a woman survived an 11-story fall from a condominium building, and now they’re trying to determine what happened.

Officers were called to the Fountain Terrace building shortly after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Advocate of Stamford (http://bit.ly/1arnGyC ) reports that the 42-year-old woman fell from her balcony and was brought to Stamford Hospital.

Her condition hasn’t been released.

Police are investigating whether it was an accident, a suicide attempt or something else.

The woman’s name hasn’t been disclosed.

Building security guard Jelanee Allen says he heard the woman scream and it sounded like she fell by accident.

Allen says the woman was conscious and responding to people talking to her after she fell.
