DEEP At Scene Of Fuel Oil Spill

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is at the scene of a fuel oil spill in Chester.

Spokesman Dwayne Gardner says the incident occurred late this morning.

He says about 100 gallons of number two fuel oil seeped into the Pattacock River from a local restaurant on West Main Street.

Gardner says they’re using a boom and skimmer to remove the oil.

There’s no word on how long that will take.
