An estimated 40,000 spectators are expected in Hartford Sunday as more than 3,000 marchers in more than 150 military and veterans’ groups and musical units step off in the annual Connecticut Veterans Parade.    It is the largest Veterans Parade in New England, and one of the largest in the nation.

A wreath-laying ceremony at 11:30 a.m.,   at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park will precede the parade,  which will step off at 12:30 from Buckingham and Washington Streets near the State Capitol.

From there marchers will proceed north on Trinity Street,   through the arch, onto Ford Street,  east on Pearl Street to Main Street,  south on Main Street to Capitol Avenue,  then west on Capitol Avenue to Hudson Street,  where the marchers will disperse.
