Shopping on will get a little more expensive on Friday, for Connecticut residents.

State Tax Commissioner Kevin Sullivan says the online retailer will begin collecting state sales tax.

“This comes well in time for Cyber Monday, which is the first Monday after the Thanksgiving weekend, which is the big online sales day,” Sullivan said.

The state expects to generate an extra $15-million in tax revenue this fiscal year.
