SI Report: Hernandez Friend, NFLer Subpoenaed After Game

Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Mike Pouncey was walking out of the locker of Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. about an hour after the Dolphins lost to the New England Patriots yesterday, 27-17, when a Massachusetts State Police officer served him with a grand jury subpoena related to the ongoing investigation into the Aaron Hernandez murder case, according to Sports Illustrated.

Pouncey, 24, hasn’t been charged, but police want to know more about Hernandez’s possible involvement into interstate gun trafficking in at least three state – Massachusetts, New York and Florida.

Pouncey went to the University of Florida with Hernandez, as did Pouncey’s twin brother, Maurkice Pouncey, also an NFL lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both are credited for keeping Hernandez out of trouble while in Gainesville.
