Suspect, Trooper Identified In Milford Shooting

State Police have identified both the suspect who died after being shot and the trooper who shot him in a confrontation in Milford early Wednesday.   Police say 28-year-old Matthew Lofaro of Milford was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say 15-year-veteran of the state police,  Trooper First Class James Scott interrupted an armed robbery taking place at the Patriot Fuels sevrice station on Boston Post Road.   Trooper Scott was assigned to administrative duty pending a review of the case.
