Man Charged In Fatal Cheshire Accident

A man is under arrest in cheshire in connection the a fatal accident Sunday night.

Police say a little after 10:30 p.m., an SUV driven by 31-year-old Ryan Scalise of Middletown hit a motorcycle and a car as he attempted to enter Interstate 691 from Route 10.

The motorcyclist, 50-year-old Moises Larriu, was ejected from the bike and died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

Police Lieutenant James Fasano says Scalise is charged with manslaughter, interfering with an officer and failure to grant right of way on a turn.

Fasano says the area is well lit and there were no weather issues.

Bond for scalise is set at $100,000.
