BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) _ Bridgeport officials say a man who may have been sleeping in the back of a parked car has suffered critical injuries after a woman who was driving on Fairfield Avenue slammed into a parked vehicle, triggering a five-car crash.
Bridgeport public safety spokesman Bill Kaempffer says the crash that occurred at 4:30 a.m. Saturday left the woman with less severe injuries. She was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center. The man was listed in critical condition at Bridgeport Hospital.
Authorities did not name the two. They identified the driver as a 31-years-old woman and the victim as a 25-year-old man.
Police are investigating and it has not been determined whether the woman was driving drunk at the time of the crash.
