HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut’s health insurance marketplace is ramping up efforts to reach out to consumers and sign them up for coverage.
Jason Madrak, chief marketing director for Access Health CT, said Thursday that television and online advertising will start “in earnest” in the next two weeks. He said there will be a substantial push to get people enrolled before Dec. 15, the deadline to sign up to get coverage starting on Jan. 1.
Madrak said there will be another advertising push before March 31, the final day of open enrollment.
There are also plans to hold 112 mobile enrollment events in 18 cities across Connecticut. Additionally, the first storefront, located in New Britain, is expected to open around Oct. 29, and a Hispanic supermarket tour is kicking off Saturday.
