Bristol Police Arrest Armed Burglar

At approximately 6:08 p.m. Tuesday Bristol police responded to 24 Atkins Ave. on a complaint that a man with a BB gun was attempting to break-in to the residence and that he was threatening use of his gun.

Police arrested Michal Wojteczko, 22, of 14 Colony Rd., Unionville.

The investigation revealed that Wojteczko attempted to illegally purchase a drug called “Suboxone” by providing a female with $80 for the drug. After approximately 30 minutes passed Wojteczko then attempted to gain entry to the residence by breaking glass window panes to the residence with a BB-Gun.

In addition, Wojteczko used the BB-Gun in a threatening manner by pointing it at individuals. The female involved said she did not even know Wojteczko.

Wojteczko is charged with criminal use of a firearm, second-degree breach of peace, firrt-degree attempted burglary, sixth-degree attempted larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, first-degree threatening, and criminal attempt to obtain narcotics.

He’s held on a $50,000 surety bond pending his arraignment at the Bristol Superior Court on Wednesday.
