Last Best Hope
Last Best Hope. The last best hope for the conservatives fighting in the Congress is Rep. Paul Ryan, the budget chairman from Wisconsin. The stalemate heads into the last few days the message from the Republicans has been mixed and confusing, but Congressman Paul Ryan has had a steady, focused message of tax reform and entitlement reform, too bad no one has been listening, but if all the Republicans in the House and Senate would collectively get behind his plan there is one last shot for change. Some people have credited the President for dividing the Republicans in the House and Senate, but he deserves no credit… they do it to themselves. Paul Ryan’s consistent plan, called the “Roadmap for America’s Future” should have been the rally cry weeks ago , highlighting tax reform and entitlement reforms, but it may be too late , the Senate Republicans are caving even as we speak [ or write] , we had a Newt Gingrich moment when he lead the Congress with “Contract with America” but our “newt moment” may have passed. We know one thing for certain, the U.S. Congress takes no meaningful actions unless there are deadlines, and two major ones are about to come and go, the “Roadmap for America’s Future” may be put back on the backburner until another crisis or deadline comes are way…meanwhile the debt rises, taxes will go up, the middleclass suffers and nothing changes .The only change that could take place is next November, let’s see what happens.
