MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) _ Jury selection is beginning in some of the 19 criminal cases against a Connecticut doctor accused of sexually assaulting more than a dozen patients.
The prosecution and defense are scheduled to start picking jurors Thursday morning in five of the alleged sexual assault cases against Tory Westbrook of Glastonbury.
Evidence is expected to begin later this month.
Authorities allege Westbrook improperly touched female patients during exams at the Community Health Center in Clinton.
He is also charged with larceny and insurance fraud in separate cases.
Westbrook says he’s innocent and remains free on bail.
The allegations led the state Medical Examining Board to suspend Westbrook’s license to practice medicine last year.
