There’s word of an accident in Hartford involving a city-owned vehicle.

Police say around 2:15 this morning, the city vehicle was traveling through a green light at the intersection of Asylum Avenue and Cogswell Street.

That car was hit by a vehicle that apparently ran a red light, according to officers.

The operator of the other vehicle fled the scene but was later arrested.

Police haven’t yet released the names of those involved.

They do say the driver and passenger in the city vehicle were transported St. Francis Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
