Man Charged With Bringing BB Gun On To Bridgeport School Grounds

A man accused of bringing a BB gun on to the grounds of a Bridgeport school Wednesday is now facing charges.

Sixty-three-year-old John Teso told officials that he produced paperwork indicating he was a police officer and at Waltersville School to pick up a family member.

Authorities say that Teso is not an officer.

They say he was dressed in military garb.  The BB gun was later recovered from Teso’s car.

A parent initially alerted school security officials to Teso’s presence.

Teso faces charges of carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of a weapon on school grounds, impersonating a police officer, and breach of peace.

Bond has been set at $50,000.
