Three Arrested In Hartford Gun Case

Three men are under arrest after Hartford police say a heightened patrol in a city “hotspot” this weekend netted a firearm.

It started around a quarter to ten Saturday night.

Officers were on Sargent Street when they noticed a group loitering in the driveway of a residential complex.

When police stopped to address the group, a number scattered.

Police say one person tossed a metal object to the ground that ended up being a .22-caliber handgun.

The firearm contained a magazine with five rounds.

Under arrest is 20-year-old Roystone Webster.  He faces charges of trespass, interfering with police, and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Also charged are 23-year-old Omar Edwards and 22-year-old Elijah Williams.  They are charged with trespass and interfering with police.
