
Two Fairfield banks were robbed in a span of just 20 minutes Thursday afternoon and police believe the same man may have robbed both.
The first robbery was at the Bank of America on Kings Highway at 3:44.The second was at the Chase Bank on Grasmere Avenue at 4:04.
In both robberies the suspect handed a teller a note demanding money and implied he had a weapon, though no weapon was shown.
Police say the suspect changed his shirt and hat between robberies.
Both banks are located next to Interstate 95 entrance and exit ramps.
Fairfield Police are working with other law enforcement agencies , as the suspect may have been involved in similar robberies in Connecticut,New York and New Jersey.
