Three Injured, One Killed In Bridgeport Shooting

Police say they are following very strong leads, after four people were injured in a shooting in Bridgeport this afternoon about 2:30.  One of those people died.

City Public safety spokesperson Bill Kaempffer says police were called to the intersection of Reservoir Avenue and Trumbull Avenue.

“When we arrived, we did find four people injured.  Three people suffered non-lifethreatening injuries.  One person passed away from his injuries,” Kaempffer said. “Police are investigating a homicide now.”

Twenty-six year-old Chrisopher Pettway of Bridgeport was killed.

All of the people injured are young men.

Officers were looking into a report that two people were seen running away from the shooting on Reservoir Avenue.
