State and local police in Ledyard continue to investigate a hit and run accident from last week.

Just after 11 p.m. Friday, a male pedestrian was struck while walking in front of the Mobil service station on Route 117.

He was treated at the scene for non life-threatening injuries.

According to a number of witnesses, the person driving the vehicle stopped to check on the injured man, then drove off before emergency personnel arrived.

The driver is described as a light skinned black or Hispanic male between 20 and 30 years old.  He had short hair, a goatee, and wore a cap and glasses.

The suspect was driving a 2008-2013 light blue or silver Audi A4 of A6 with tinted windows.

Anyone with any information should contact either Ledyard police or State Police at Troop E.
