Amazon.com is apparently reconsidering plans to open a warehouse distribution facility in Windsor.
Town Manager Peter Sousa says the company has withdrawn its request for tax incentives.
“The developer has made an application for land use here in Windsor, and they are continuing through the land use process,” Sousa said.
A separate company is building the facility and leasing it to Amazon.
The builder can seek town approval for the construction without the tenant specified.
Sousa said the online retailer notified him of the withdrawal though a phone call late last week.
If Amazon were to open a facility in Windsor, it could bring hundreds of jobs.
