Police Investigate Student Threat; No Weapon Found

Enfield Police say a 14-year-old student at the CREC “Public Safety Academy” for sixth- to twelfth-graders was referred to juvenile authorities on a disorderly conduct charge after an incident this week.

Police say other students at the school,  operated by the Capitol Region Education Council, overheard the student talking about a plan to take a gun to class.  Police received the call shortly before 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.  The student was not at the school at the time, and police went to the student’s house.  No weapon was found.
