Bridgeport Shooting Suspect Sought

Bridgeport police are continuing their investigation into a shooting from this month and they have released an image of their suspect.

Police say shots rang out August 17 in the 500 block of Trumbull Avenue.

Two officers witnessed the suspect jump out of a car, open fire, and then flee in a vehicle.

No one was hurt.

Police say the suspected getaway driver, identified as Amelia Rhodes, nearly hit two officers as she sped from the scene.

They say she crashed the vehicle on Chopsey Hill Road.

The armed suspect fled still carrying his weapon.

Rhodes was later tracked to a wooded area and arrested.

Anyone with any information on rthe case is asked to call Bridgeport police.
