Billboard Advertises Reward In December Killing

A billboard in Norwich is seeking information in the fatal shooting of a young mother last December.  Police say 26-year-old Jaclyn Wirth was killed by shots fired through the door of her apartment on East Baltic Street.

Governor Malloy’s office has offered a reward of up to $25,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her death.  Investigators say they feel certain there are people with information about the killing who have not come forward.

The billboard with information about the award went up Wednesday,  at the corner of North High Street and West Main Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call Norwich Police at (860) 892-2892  or (860) 886-5561, ext. 500.
