WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) _ American Airlines is beginning nonstop flights from Connecticut’s Bradley International Airport to Los Angeles.
The direct service to Los Angeles kicks off Tuesday morning. The daily flights are scheduled to depart Bradley just after 9 a.m. Eastern time and arrive at LAX just before 12:30 p.m. Pacific time. Return flights are set to leave Los Angeles at 12:05 a.m. Pacific time and arrive at Bradley at 8:15 a.m. Eastern time.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will attend a ceremony marking the inaugural flight Tuesday morning with officials from the Connecticut Airport Authority and American Airlines.
Bradley last had nonstop service to Los Angeles in 2010, but Delta Airlines canceled it because of weakened demand.
In October, JetBlue will begin offering daily nonstop flights from Bradley to Fort Myers and Tampa.
