Good marks for Connecticut Light & Power in their Superstorm Sandy restoration efforts.

State regulators say the company’s power restoration efforts during Superstorm Sandy were clearly improved compared to previews storms – specifically Tropical Storm Irene in 2011 and that October snow storm a few months later when thousands of Connecticut residents were in the dark for days.

In the Wednseday announcement, regulators said “Connecticut Light & Power has clearly improved its emergency planning and organization functions since the 2011 storms.”

CLP&P called it “welcome news.”
