The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team will face defending national champion Louisville twice in the 2013-2014 season as the Huskies begin their first season in the American Athletic Conference.
UConn opens with an exhibition game against Southern Connecticut State University Oct. 30, and closes at the KFC Yum! Center against Louisville March 8. The AAC tournament will run March 12 to March 15 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.
After the SCSU game, UConn’s November schdule consists of an exhibition game against Concordia, followed by Maryland, Yale, Detroit, Boston University, Boston College and either Indiana or Washington (in the 2K Sports Classic benefitting Wounded Warrior Project) and Loyola of Maryland.
In December, the Huskies play Florida, Maine, Stanford, Washington, Eastern Washington and Houston. Then, in January, they take on SMU, Harvard, UCF, Memphis, Louisville, Temple, Rutgers and Houston.
The February line consists of Cincinnati, UCF, USF, Memphis, Temple, SMU and USF. Then, in March, they play Cincinnati and Rutgers before wrapping up regular season play at Louisville.
