A suspect is under arrest in Norwich, charged with, among other things, operating a drug factory.
This morning, Norwich officers along with those from the state parole department, undertook a compliance check of 26-year-old Michael T. O’Brien, a parolee living on Goldberg Avenue.
Police say they were tipped off that there may have been narcotics distribution taking place within O’Brien’s residence.
Inside, they say the found a small amount of heroin pre-packaged for street level sales, packaging materials and a grinder to process heroin.
In addtion to the drugs, police say there was a two-year-old child in the home, as well as $1,200 in cash.
O’Brien is also charged with possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell, and risk of injury to a minor.
He’s due in court in Norwich September 5.
