Robbery In Meriden, Possibly With Gun

Wednesday night about 9pm Meriden Police responded to a call from the Stop & Shop gas station on West Main Street. The caller indicated he had just been robbed.

On arrival, the employee said he had been stationed inside of the kiosk where the attendant collects money from customers when approached by a white male, approximately in his mid -30’s, wearing an orange shirt. The suspect claimed to have a gun and told the employee to keep his hands where they could be seen and to hand over the money in the cash drawer. The employee was caught off guard but did comply with the suspect. An undetermined amount of cash was taken. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The male suspect has short light brown hair with some facial hair, and is estimated to be anywhere from around 5’10” to 6’0” tall.The suspect was captured on a surveillance camera.
