Divers returned to the ponds of Bristol Tuesday, where they had previously been searching for evidence in the investigation into the Massachusetts murder of Odin Lloyd.
Previously, Connecticut State Police divers spent several days searching Malone’s Pond in Bristol. Today there were at a much smaller pond nearby, on the other side of Route 72.
The water was up to the diver’s waists. They used yellow metal detectors to search the bottom. They wore black dry suits, but no breathing gear.
Bristol native Aaron Hernandez, formerly with the New England Patriots, faces a charge of murder in the case,
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of the 27-year-old semi-professional football player whose body was found June 17 about a mile from Hernandez’s Massachusetts home.
