Funeral Friday For Sisters Killed In East Haven Plane Crash

EAST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ A funeral is scheduled for Friday for two children who were killed when an airplane crashed into their Connecticut home.

A relative says the service for 13-year-old Sade Brantley and 1-year-old Madisyn Mitchell is set for 10 a.m. at a church in New Haven.

The 10-seat plane crashed into two homes in East Haven near Tweed-New Haven Airport during its approach Friday. Also killed were the pilot, 54-year-old former Microsoft executive Bill Henningsgaard, and his 17-year-old son, Maxwell.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The homes are expected to be torn down this week.

The children’s aunt, Lawanda Middleton, says her family is grieving and isn’t releasing any other information. She is the sister of the children’s mother, who survived the accident.
