Consumers will get a chance to save on clothing and footwear purchases next week.
Connecticut holds another tax free holiday beginning August 18.
Purchases $300 or less will be exempt from the state sales tax.
State revenue services commissioner Kevin Sullivan says it’s a good way for families to save with kids headed back to school in just a few weeks.
He also says many store run discounts and that gets people out supporting businesses.
Sullivan says the state makes up for the $7,000,000 to $8,000,000 loss in revenue through those additional purchases.
