Police in Norwich say a 23 year old man forced his way into  a Greene Avenue home  just before 11:30  Friday morning and  was scared away by the homeowner. A few minutes later  police received the report of a burglary at a home on Fountain Street.

According to police  Kenneth Donahue of  Norwich  forced his way into a home   where there were   3  young  children and a teenager.The teen  was awakened  by the sound of dogs barking and  found Donahue inside.

Police say Doanhue fled, but was captured  on Cedar Street.He has ben charged with Burgalry,Criminal Attept Larceny,Risk of Injury to a Minor, Disorderly conduct, Criminal Mischief  and  Failure to Appear.

Donahue  is a suspect in other  recent day time burglaries in the area.

Donahue is being held   on  $77,500  bond  and is due in court Monday.
