Little League In Briston Postponed

SOUTH  WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Aug. 9, 2013) – The  2013 Little League Baseball® Mid-Atlantic Region Semifinal Games originally scheduled to be played on Friday, Aug. 9, at the A. Bartlett Giamatti Leadership Training Center in Bristol, Conn., have been moved to Saturday, Aug. 10, due to inclement weather.

The first game, between Delaware and Washington, D.C., originally scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, has been moved to Saturday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. The second matchup between Pennsylvania and Maryland, originally scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday, will follow at 2 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPNU and will also be available on WatchESPN.

In an attempt to ensure all teams’ pitchers are eligible, based on required rest periods, the Little League International Tournament Committee has delayed both games in order to give all teams the best, competitive playing conditions.

The New England Region Championship Game will remain at its previously scheduled time, 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11 and will air on ESPN and WatchESPN. The Mid-Atlantic Championship game is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. and will air on ESPN2 and WatchESPN.

Little League® International thanks all local league officials, families and friends of the Newark National Little League, Capitol City Little League, Lionville Little League and Berlin Little League for their patience and understanding.
