Trustees Vote On UConn Water Plan

The University of Connecticut has chosen Connecticut Water Company to provide water as the school grows in the coming decades.

UConn’s  Associate Vice President Tom Callahan says the water will come from a reservoir in Tolland, in a pipline paid for by the water company.

Environmentalists opposed a competing plan from the Metropolitan District Commission, which would have delivered water from Western Connecticut to the campus in the eastern part of the state.
