Man Who Caused Triple-Fatal Wrong-Way Crash Turns Himself In

Frank Sundstrom, 52 of Warwick, Rhode Island, turned himself into Connecticut State Police today for causing a two-vehicle crash in December that left three people dead.

He was driving north in the southbound lane of Interstate 95 in Old Lyme when it happened.

He’s charged with three counts of second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, driving the wrong way on the highway, illegal entry or exit on a highway and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

He was arraigned today and bond was set at 750-thousand dollars.
