Windsor Woman Arrested for ID Fraud

A Windsor woman was arrested Tuesday on a number of charges for illegally collecting unemployment benefits.

Latysha Atmore, 29, is charged with using different social security numbers to illegally collect upwards of $28,000 in unemployment compensation benefits.

Atmore is charged with multiple identity theft counts, as well as larceny and fraud charges.

The scam wen on for about five years from 2008 through this year she used other social security numbers such as that of a Massachusetts resident and a deceased person to file the claims.

She also received some of the funds while serving time at York Correctional Institution in Niantic.
