Vernon Police Make Second Arrest In Bank Robbery

Vernon police have made a second arrest in connection with a bank robbery from earlier this spring.

They say 37-year-old James Costello of Ocean Township, New Jersey turned himself in Thursday at Vernon police headquarters.

Last week 35-year-old Arthur Allyn was arrested.

It was May 25 when police say Allyn entered the People’s branch on Talcottville Road, handed a tell a not, and took off with an undetermined amount of cash.

They say Costello drove the getaway vehicle.

He’s facing robbery, conspiracy, and larceny charges and is being held on $200,000 bond, pending arraignment later today.
