Yale Goaltender Wolfpack Bound

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Goalie Jeff Malcolm has signed to play with the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, three months after leading Yale to its first NCAA title.

Wolf Pack General manager Jim Schoenfeld made the announcement Tuesday.

Malcolm posted a 36-21-4 record at Yale, capping his career with a 36-save performance in Yale’s 4-0 win over Quinnipiac in the national championship game.

The 6-foot-2 native of Lethbridge, Alberta was 20-6-2 in his senior season, with a 2.24 goals-against average and a save percentage of just under 92 percent.

The Wolf Pack play at the XL Center in Hartford, which is about 40 miles north of Yale’s Ingalls Rink.
