New Baseball Coach Named At ECSU

The most successful coach in the history of the Western New England University baseball program has been  named head coach at Eastern Connecticut State University —  the most successful program in  the history of New England college baseball.

Matt LaBranche is a former catcher at Springfield College who has coached at WNEU for 14 years,  compiling a record of 429 wins and 187 losses,  and competing in post-season tournaments each season,  including ten NCAA Division III tournaments.

Eastern has won four NCAA Division III national titles, most recently in 2002.
