Woman Charged In Death Of Dog Left In Hot Car

A Waterbury woman was arrested and a charged on one count of cruelty to animals after leaving her dog unattended in a hot on Lunar Drive in Woodbridge Wednesday.

Woodbridge police say 24-year-old Tiffany July-Lindo was of Waterbury was working inside a local Woodbridge business while her 14-month-old Yorkie-Chihuahua mix was left in her car with the windows rolled up. Upon returning to the vehicle, July-Lindo discovered the animal had died.

Police report conditions were 90 degrees and sunny at the time of the dog’s death.

July-Lindo was arrested and is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on July 26.
