A man is in custody after holding Plainfield police at bay for several hours early this morning.
They say it started around 1:30 this morning when a woman reported she heard a gun go off as she left a Cornell Road home during an argument with 34-year-old Zachary Truelson.
Police arrived and attempted to talk Truelson out of the home, to no avail.
State police were called to provide assistance.
Around 6:30, they were able to gain entry and take Truelson into custody.
He faces breach of peace charges and additional charges could be forthcoming.
Truelson’s being held on 25-thousand dollars bond.
