UConn Promotion Gives Tickets to Military
STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ The University of Connecticut is launching a promotion linking season ticket sales to free football tickets for members of the National Guard.
The school says it will donate one single-game ticket to an active or retired member of the Connecticut National Guard for every season ticket that it sells between this past Monday and Friday.
The free tickets will be good for the Huskies game against Louisville on Nov. 8, which is being designated as “Military Appreciation Day.”
The season tickets start at $20 per game and also include contests with Michigan, Maryland, Rutgers, Memphis and the season-opener with Towson on Aug. 29.
