The State Supreme Court today upheld a multi-million dollar verdict against Saint Francis Hospital, in a case of child sexual abuse by Doctor George Reardon.

Read the decision here.

At trial, the jury awarded Tim Doe Number one $2.75-million.

He was eight in 1969, when he and his 10-year-old sister were recruited for Reardon’s bogus growth study.

Reardon used the so-called study to get access to several hundred children starting in the 1960′s, so he could take sexual photographs of them and sexually abuse them.

The pictures were found in Reardon’s West Hartford house, years after he died.

The hospital claimed that it should only have been liable for the abuse, if it knew that Reardon was a pedophile.
