Today is July 1, and for the state of Connecticut that means a new fiscal year. This new budget begins with new laws, a 5% increase in spending, more taxes, a 4 cent per gallon gas tax increase and for state employees a pay raise, costing the taxpayers $125 million . Sound familiar ? Well it’s pretty much how the last two years began in Connecticut and we know how that has worked in creating jobs, attracting business and stimulating the economy. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
